Toronto Crokinole Starts again Saturday Oct. 3, 2009

In case any GTA members on the email list have your anti-spam cranked on high and didn't get the news about our club starting up Season Two, I thought I should post a reminder here.

That's Saturday October 3rd at 180 Bloor St West, 3rd floor lounge Global Village School. We flick from 1:00 til 4:00-ish but if you come by 12:45 we can count heads to get an appropriate rotation schedule and actually start on time ;^)

New members are resoundingly welcome. Skill level is no barrier, the club exists to have a good time and improve our crokinole.
We usually play 'progressive finger doubles', that is, we switch partners after every game (game=4 rounds). If you get paired with a less skilled partner, no worries, you are partnered with them for one game but you'll play against them twice. So whatever points you might not make in one game you can look forward to doubling back in two other encounters. Conversely, if you are a weaker player you can benefit from having a strong partner who will help you score some points and one who will be ready with advice to make your partnership with them your best performance. An incredibly ingenious way to play, isn't it?

So come on downtown, we're across from the ROM. There is no charge for this meeting and coffee, tea and timbits are on us.

Toronto Crokinole Club:

"We are crokinole...assistance is will be ameliorated'
-TheCrokinoleBorg - One-Of-Four (apologies to Star Trek fans)

(... and you can help us come up with a better motto, too)
