The BC tournament is perhaps the strongest crokinole championship outside of Ontario. (The Lewiston NY tournament is a special case since it is dominated by Ontario players) It is held annually in Oliver BC (in the Okanagan Valley) and now organized by ED and Darlene Ripley. This year it is on Saturday March 7. There is still time to enter. One can fly to either Vancouver (check the weather in the mountains) or Kelona (less risky weather wise.) and drive to Oliver. At least 2 players from Ontario will be there, probably competing in the recreational division. Some of our competitive players should consider attending. One can combine it with a ski trip and there is significant prize money to be won. Competitive BC crokinole is centered in the Okanagan Valley and they have some fine players. Quin Erzinger has won the championship more than once. Is Linda Irving the strongest female player in the world?   Expect lots of enthusiasm and the best door prizes of any crokinole tournament.
