Hi guys, Just want all Quinte members to know that if you are interested in playing at the Kawartha Club this year, we would love you to join. You could also come up and play or try it out for a mere $2 to help cover the cost. It is at the Peterborough Curling Club on Landsdowne St. W. All are welcome!

We still play on most Tuesday nights throughout the summer. We are planning on having the odd Saturday event too. Feel free to come any Tuesday night, if you can make it. I'll try and give you some advance notice about Saturday's.

Hi guys. Hope all is well. I was wondering when your season is? Maybe if it runs through the summer I can come down for some games.

That sounds interesting Jason. I'll mention it to the guys tonight at our club meeting. I look forward to hashing this out with you in a couple of weeks.

Hi guys. It was great meeting you all on Saturday. I have a challenge for you. We have started a friendly competition between Toronto CC and our club and are calling it the Slyder Cup. (based on the Ryder Cup with similar round format). I would like to start a similar competition between our clubs and call it the "Eastern Cup". It could be a team format like the Slyder Cup, which we can eventually open to other clubs in Eastern Ontario. Whadya think? If it is a go, then Louis, you and I can arrange details when we are in Tavistock.

This is true if the piece your promoting isn't already touching the 10/15 line or better. If not, then your SHOOTER must at minimum be touching this line.

So, if I am promoting a piece on the board and there are no oppositions pieces then as long as the piece I promoted is touching the 10/15 circle or better I am ok. It does not matter where my original shooter lies.

Is that your understanding?

Hey guys,
Check out the the "promotion rule" question I posted on the forum. It seems we have not always been playing it correctly. I think you'll find the explanations by Howard and Eric nail it down pretty well.

See you Tuesday at the DebbieLou homestead.
