Hi all, new Crokinole fan from the states here, just got my first board and am looking to really get into this hobby, maybe even set up a club in my area one day, I have a question though...

Does anyone know the peg height, more specifically the length of tube, that they use on the World Crokinole Championship boards?

From Videos the pegs look pretty short, like maybe 1.5 times as high as the discs.

Outside of that though, is there preference for short vs tall pegs? and what is your reasoning?

Thanks.

Hi Mario,

Glad to hear that you've already got a board and have started flicking.

I have one of the WCC boards, and as far as I know all of the peg heights are nearly identical. Just measured mine and the actual rubber is about 5/8ths of an inch in height, which is basically 1.5 times the disc height. Obviously the head of the screw adds a bit more to the height.

In terms of preference, I really shouldn't have one, but I do. It would be a rare instance when the height of a peg makes a meaningful impact, but my preference is to have a small height. There is something about taller pegs that look more daunting, even when that should have no impact.
